A leading public sector organization is seeking an experienced Finance System Lead to drive the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and Dayforce Payroll. This is a contract role for up to 12 months, supporting key modernization initiatives within the finance and operations functions.
3 months onsite to start then 3 days in office, Wed are an achor day and mandatory in office
Lead end-to-end implementation of D365 F&O modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Budgeting, Procurement, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
Oversee the integration between D365, Dayforce Payroll, and legacy systems.
Translate business and system integration requirements into configuration plans, functional design, and testing strategies.
Manage data migration, including cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
Coordinate training sessions, develop materials, and support user adoption across departments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.
Support change management, user engagement, and post-implementation support.
Monitor project risks, track progress, and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in full-cycle accounting or related financial roles.
Proven success implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP solutions.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and public sector accounting practices.
Skilled in project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll/financial systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
