We are seeking a seasoned and versatile Director of Corporate Communications to lead both strategic and hands-on communication efforts across the organization. Reporting to the VP of Communications and supporting the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, this role combines high-level planning with day-to-day execution across internal, external, and public-facing communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all internal and external communications, including executive, public relations, member, and employee messaging.
Support the CEO and ELT with communications planning, key messaging, speechwriting, and scripting for critical organizational updates and events.
Act as communications lead for major initiatives such as mergers, change management, crisis response, and corporate strategy rollouts.
Write and edit a range of materials including internal announcements, external press releases, executive messages, newsletters, AGM speeches, and campaign content.
Provide communications planning and support for company-wide projects, from day-to-day tactical planning to large-scale change efforts.
Serve as the organization's crisis communication lead—craft messaging during operational issues
Drive employee engagement and cultural initiatives in partnership with HR, including internal campaigns and events.
Proactively anticipate executive communication needs—take initiative without always being given a defined starting point.
Ensure alignment between communications and the organization's strategic priorities.
8–10 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, including management experience.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a proven ability to write in different voices and styles (especially executive tone).
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder communication projects from strategy to execution.
Experience working in cross-functional environments, particularly with HR, IT, operations, and executive offices.
Adept in crisis communication and media relations.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field is required — or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
