Job Description

Our federal government client is requesting Diesel Mechanics to support its operational commitments.

Tasks: 

  • Routine Maintenance and Basic Troubleshooting
    Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing of mechanical systems, including identifying early signs of issues and performing minor repairs to ensure continued operation.

  • Component Repairs and Replacements
    Execute corrective maintenance by fixing or replacing defective parts and mechanical assemblies to restore equipment functionality.

  • Refurbishment and Minor Fabrication Work
    Restore mechanical assemblies through reconditioning, overhaul minor components, perform basic calibrations, salvage usable parts, and carry out limited manufacturing tasks when necessary.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma/certificate
  • Active Secret clearance
  • 6+ years of experience as a mechanical technician
  • 2 years of experience within the last 5 years with Diesel-powered systems.
  • A recognized community college automotive trades course certification, or military vehicle technician QL5 qualification or automotive inter-provincial certification.
  • Must hold a valid provincial driver's license
  • Must hold a 310S or 310T mechanic license
