Job Description
Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a Senior Technical Architect to analyze and evaluate existing department enterprise directory services/email and messaging plans, diagrams, documentation, specifications and infrastructure and provide impact analysis of configuration and technology changes, to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements to department systems with a focus on interoperability and related development activities
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in development of technical architectures, frameworks and strategies for departmental enterprise directory/email to meet department requirements with a focus on interoperability. Ongoing analysis and consideration of emerging technologies in the area of enterprise directory/email delivery, storage and security must be performed in order to develop these strategies;
- In a lab environment if/when required for capability development and directed by the Technical Authority:
- Develop and deliver a test plan for all enterprise directory/email/messaging developments to be lab tested with the following: details of the release, background/short business case, technical description, test plan design and test case details;
- Provide a report detailing test plans and compiled test results for any configuration changes being considered for classified enterprise directory/email system(s);
- Provide a report to the Technical Authority with results of the evaluation of enterprise directory/email and messaging plans, and computer hardware systems;
- Produce and deliver proposals, designs and architectures for the provision of support to special enterprise directory/email capabilities such as those required for connectivity to external email systems;
- Provide reports detailing evaluation of departmental email and messaging network and application software;
Qualifications and Skills
- 10+ years of experience working as a Technical Architect on projects related to enterprise directory/email capabilities
- 5+ years of experience integrating Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR) capabilities into Canadian Allied enclaves
- Valid TOP SECRET Federal Government clearance
Education
Must have a valid university degree or college diploma in an information technology-related discipline
