Job Description

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented M&A Analyst to join their team in Toronto. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The M&A Analyst will collaborate closely with an underwriting team that evaluates businesses across a wide range of industries and specializes in transactional risk.

This hybrid position (2 days in office) includes a comprehensive benefits package, 3 weeks of vacation, a bonus structure, RSP matching, and additional perks.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation of M&A transactions by analyzing financial statements, purchase agreements, and industry trends.

  • Assist with the preparation of memos, documents, presentations, and internal reports.

  • Review and summarize due diligence findings and legal documentation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including underwriters, advisors and legal counsel.

  • Participate in meetings and calls with clients to support deal execution and gather insights.

  • Manage deal timelines, organize documents, and coordinate communication across teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in a Analyst role within financial services or private equity

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and Salesforce.

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment.
