Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in Accounts Receivable to lead a high-impact initiative aimed at streamlining the patient payments process. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of a new financial integration between the organizations system and Oracle GL, with the goal of improving the efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance of the AR function.
This is a 6-month contract for a healthcare client based in Ottawa, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs. The role is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of patient payment functionality through the system with seamless integration to Oracle General Ledger.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the project, ensuring alignment between technical teams, finance stakeholders, and leadership.
- Develop and maintain essential project documentation including:
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholder groups—navigating competing priorities and fostering collaboration.
- Drive execution while building strong relationships and influencing outcomes through persuasion and leadership—this role has no direct reports.
- Ensure thorough understanding and documentation of AR payment processes, bank reconciliations, and GL reconciliations.
- Monitor project milestones, escalate issues when necessary, and ensure project stays on timeline and within scope.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success managing financial systems implementation projects, particularly in ERP environments.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting, finance, or financial planning role
- Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, GL reconciliation, and payment processes.
- Exceptional project management skills, able to develop, execute, and adjust detailed plans in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work across departments and influence without authority.
- Experience with Oracle (or similar platforms) is a strong asset.
- PMP or other project management certification is an asset but not required.
