Our client is currently looking for a Procurement Analyst to join their team. The Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services on behalf of various client departments. This includes the development and execution of procurement strategies, coordination of competitive bidding processes, evaluation of supplier submissions, and contract award and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, development, and execution of RFX processes (RFQs, RFPs, RFTs) for recurring inventory and non-stock items.
Draft and manage procurement documentation, including commercial terms, public advertisements, and addenda.
Maintain and update vendor lists for goods and services procurement.
Coordinate all bidder communications from solicitation issuance to contract award; respond to inquiries and provide clarifications as needed.
Conduct bid evaluations and prepare comprehensive commercial analyses to support award recommendations.
Issue purchase orders and handle amendments as required.
Expedite delivery of goods/services to meet internal timelines.
Negotiate pricing with sole or single-source vendors to achieve cost savings.
Provide support across procurement categories to ensure continuity during staff absences.
Participate in scheduled training programs to broaden understanding of departmental functions and client needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency with office technology and applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated procurement experience is considered an asset.
Knowledge of public procurement processes and principles is an advantage.
