Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a 1+ year long remote contract. The department is designing and implementing a Microsoft Dynamics Grants and Contributions Information Management System (GCIMS). The GCIMS project will complete the implementation of a single, enterprise wide, end-to-end solution for Grants and Contributions management. The Project Coordinator will help with the knowledge management in line with the best practices in terms of project documentation and reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review all the documentation produced in the last few years on the project to:
(i) Identify relevancy to the current way forward of the project;
(ii) Identify duplication;
(iii) Restructure a record method;
(iv) Maintain comprehensive project documentation; and
(v) Archive irrelevant documents - Schedule and attend Project Team recurring and ad hoc meetings to:
(i) Present the last meeting minutes for adoption; and
(ii) Take minutes of the meetings (including discussion points and action items) - Coordinate day-to-day activities, such as:
(i) Following-up on action items;
(ii) Assisting in creating project schedules and timelines;
(iii) Preparing progress reports and updates for stakeholders; and
(iv) Tracking deliverables and project milestones.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Project Coordination
- 3+ years of experience gathering documentation from different sources and centralizing it in an organized manner based on Project framework best practices.
- 6+ Months of experience supporting Grants and Contributions projects
- 6+ Months of experience supporting clients in the Government of Canada
