Job Description

The Senior Technical Accountant provides accounting support for complex financial transactions during the SAP implementation. This role works closely with the Technical Accounting Lead to research, document, and apply appropriate accounting standards and ensure accurate configuration and reporting within SAP.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply accounting guidance to business transactions (e.g., leases, revenue contracts, asset capitalization).
• Prepare technical accounting memos and whitepapers to support policy positions.
• Support testing and validation of financial outputs from SAP to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with business and SAP teams to align transactional processes with policy requirements.
• Participate in month-end close activities and financial reporting impact analysis.
• Assist in preparation of audit materials and liaise with external auditors.
• Contribute to training and development of finance team on updated accounting practices.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent accounting designation (mandatory).
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate technical accounting.
• Working knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial process transformation projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and technical writing ability.
