Job Description

Location: Downtown Ottawa
Work Model: Hybrid, 1 days per week onsite in downtown Ottawa
Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance: Secret (Required)
Focus: Design AI/ML solutions, RPA workflows, and Azure-based data infrastructure.
Work type: Permanent full time role
Package: competitive base salary + group insurance benefits, pension plan, 4 weeks paid vacation, and incentive pay (15% bonus and annual salary increase based on performance).


Position Summary

Lead the technical architecture, development, and implementation of innovative data solutions leveraging cloud technologies, AI/ML, and robotic process automation (RPA). Drive our client's data strategy to enhance decision-making, system integration, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver who can strategically integrate AI technologies and communicate with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable infrastructure and solutions for data science and analytics.
  • Develop and lead enterprise data strategy, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.
  • Collaborate with IT, business, and data science teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.
  • Champion the integration of emerging technologies including AI, LLMs, ML, RPA, and cloud (Azure).
  • Ensure alignment with data governance, architectural standards, and organizational strategy.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex system integration and transformation projects.
  • Maintain external partnerships and internal stakeholder relationships to drive data innovation.
  • - Prototype and integrate AI solutions across different platforms
    - Take AI models from data scientists and put them into production
    - Implement chatbots and AI services in various systems
    - Work with cloud environments (preferably Azure)
    - Monitor AI performance and ensure security compliance

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or full stack development experience).
  • 8+ years in IT with 5+ years in solution architecture for large-scale projects.
  • 2+ years leading advanced data science/AI initiatives in a cloud environment (preferably Azure).
  • Programming knowledge like Python
  • Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in business transformation, IT security, project management, and virtualization.
