Senior Software Developer (Java/Angular) 

Duration: 1 year, with two 1-year optional extensions
Location: On-site 
Security Clearance: Top Secret

About the Role:
Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Programmer/Software Developer for a contract opportunity with one of our Federal Government Clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Java and Angular applications within a microservices architecture.

• Develop RESTful web services and support UI design using industry frameworks like Spring Boot.

• Modernize existing legacy systems, ensuring continued support for current users.

• Contribute to CI/CD practices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and test automation (JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium).

• Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams and support documentation, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Technical Environment:

• Java, Angular (v4+), Spring Boot, REST APIs

• Oracle DB, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, Git, Maven

• Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift

• Tools: JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence

Mandatory Requirements:

• Relevant university degree or college diploma with significant development experience.

• 180+ months of Java development experience.

• Demonstrated experience with Angular, RESTful services, search indexing tools (e.g., Elasticsearch), and containerization.

Rated Assets Include:

• Experience with HATEOS, RDBMS, PAAS deployments, test automation, ORM tools, and Kafka.
