Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Event Coordinator to support a nonprofit client with preparations for their upcoming convention in early June. This is a short-term, two-week contract ideal for someone comfortable with computer-based tasks and familiar with Microsoft Office.

This is working full time onsite downtown Ottawa for the duration of the two week contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with convention preparation tasks, including:

    • Creating and assembling name badges (using mail merge, printing, and organizing schedules)

    • Designing and preparing sponsorship signs (basic layout and printing)

    • Producing AGM cards (mail merge, sorting, and assembly)

    • Supporting other administrative and event prep tasks as needed

  • Work independently while following a general task schedule

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in all printed materials

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Experience in an office or event support setting is an asset but not required

  • Ability to work onsite full-time during the contract period
