Experience Required: 10+ years overall (8+ years in ServiceNow)
Summary:
We're seeking a Lead Software Engineer experienced in ServiceNow IT Asset Management (SAM Pro / HAM Pro) to manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, optimize software usage, ensure compliance, and support asset-related integrations and automations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end IT asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement).
- Ensure accurate asset tracking and data integrity in ServiceNow.
- Administer software licenses and compliance to reduce financial and legal risk.
- Optimize license usage, track renewals, and minimize redundant software spend.
- Track and manage hardware assets (e.g., laptops, servers, network devices).
- Support asset procurement, inventory control, and disposal in line with policies.
- Integrate SAM Pro / HAM Pro with ITSM and ITOM modules for seamless tracking.
- Automate asset management processes for efficiency and consistency.
- Develop custom reports and support data loading and migration using update sets.
- Apply Scrum/Agile methodology and troubleshoot ServiceNow issues as needed.
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of experience with SAM Pro, HAM Pro, and ServiceNow modules.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, Discovery, Procurement, and HRSD.
- Experience in configuration, customization, and integration of ServiceNow modules.
- Understanding of software/hardware asset lifecycle and relevant compliance processes.
- Familiarity with automation tools within ServiceNow.
Certification Requirements:
At least one of the following preferred:
- CIS – ITOM
- CIS – Discovery
- CIS – Service Mapping
- CIS – Event Management
- CIS – Cloud Provisioning and Governance
Required:
- CSA (Certified System Administrator)
- CAD (Certified Application Developer)
