Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced WorkForce Software (WFS) Configuration Specialist to support the design, configuration, and implementation of cloud-based Time and Attendance, Absences, and Scheduling solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical expertise in WFS modules and extensive experience configuring collective bargaining agreement rules in unionized public sector environments.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days on-site per week in Downtown Toronto and 3 days remote, with flexibility based on project needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and testing of WFS modules: Time and Attendance, Absences, Leave Request, Advanced Scheduling, and Analytics.

  • Translate collective agreement rules into system-configurable business logic.

  • Build and maintain integrations between WFS and other HRMS platforms.

  • Conduct workshops, gather business requirements, and map them to WFS functionality.

  • Create test scripts, perform unit and integration testing, and support defect resolution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project leads, functional leads, business stakeholders, and change management teams.

  • Support system rollouts, go-live activities, and post-implementation support.

  • Document configuration workbooks, test results, risks, decisions, and traceability matrices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring WorkForce Software for Time and Attendance, Absences, and Scheduling.

  • Minimum of 2 large-scale WFS implementations in complex, unionized environments

  • Proven experience designing and implementing collective bargaining rule logic within WFS.

  • Experience supporting WFS testing, integrations, defect management, and training.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Education

  • WFS certification in:

    • Time and Attendance Management

    • Absence Management / Leave Request

    • Scheduling and Workbooks

    • Interface/Integration Building

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working with public sector organizations or transit agencies.

  • Knowledge of organizational change management (OCM) best practices.

  • Familiarity with job scheduling in WFS (CJS).

  • Experience contributing to training materials and user documentation.
