Job Description
Our client, a leading home builder and developer, is seeking a Building Operator to join their team in Ottawa.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing the day-to-day operations of large-scale residential buildings, including general maintenance and maintaining mechanical systems, in addition to fostering positive relationships with residents and contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns, service requests, and emergency situations, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
- Serve as a key point of contact between residents and property management, fostering strong communication and tenant satisfaction.
- Complete in-suite repairs and maintenance, both during occupancy and unit turnover, ensuring spaces are safe, functional, and move-in ready.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, and small appliances.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System rules and Health and Safety Policies.
- Provide excellent resident services, emphasizing a cooperative and helpful approach in all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar building operations or maintenance position.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of high rise building systems and equipment.
- Highly proactive, with strong customer service and resolution skills.
- Ability to work well independently and part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize work and adhere to maintenance schedules.
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required.
