Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Architect support the continued development, operation, and sustainment of the Simulation and Training Node Infrastructure Information System. This Information System is a distributed virtualized data centre that provides secure compute, storage and network capabilities architected as an internal private cloud. This is a multi-year ONSITE contract in Ottawa.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop SDWAN implementation recommendations and preliminary design.
- Implement GPU-on-Demand workload optimization utilizing LIQID SmartStack technology enabling dynamic GPU disaggregation and allocation across ESXi farm, enabling high-performance workloads for virtual simulations and AI/ML tasks.
- Implement a secure data transfer capability utilizing BAE Data Diodes and provide a bidirectional cross-domain security solution recommendation and preliminary design.
- Develop Data-centric security/Zero-trust (DCS/ZT) recommendations and preliminary design enabling attribute-based encryption and access control, aligned with enterprise cybersecurity frameworks and solutions.
- Design and develop an automated vulnerability scanning and patching system, integrated with configuration management databases and the HaloITSM help desk system.
- Enhance virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) performance by optimizing Nvidia vGPU profiles for paging high-resolution terrain databases at near-real-time speeds, ensuring stable delivery across both classified and unclassified networks.
Qualifications and Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Cloud Architecture
- Strong experience employing core system technologies such as VMWare, NVidia, Microsoft Datacenter, Kubernetes
- Strong experience with static and dynamic routing, switch configuration, NTP, DNS, VLANs
Education
Relevant Post-Secondary education is required
Relevant certification such as DCE-CA, CCNP, MCSE, VCAP
