Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex initiatives within the IT Asset Management and Device Management domains. The successful candidate will oversee projects in an agile delivery environment, managing vendors, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply project management methodologies and best practices to plan, manage, and deliver projects through the full lifecycle.
- Create and manage key project artifacts including project plans, risk registers, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
- Lead initial planning activities including requirements gathering, resource estimation, user story creation, and change management planning.
- Allocate resources and manage tasks across agile delivery teams and vendor partners.
- Monitor project deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with project scope and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with information privacy and security standards, governance frameworks, and Zero Trust principles.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Provide business writing support and contribute to communication planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Escalate issues appropriately to sponsors, governance, or steering committees, applying sound judgment and discretion.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree or diploma in technology supplemented with formal project management training and certification (PMP preferred or PRINCE2).
- Minimum 5 years of recent, significant leadership experience on complex projects.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, delegate tasks, and deliver projects on budget and on time.
- Experience in IT Asset Management or Device Management projects, including familiarity with ITAM frameworks and cybersecurity best practices.
- Must have experience in zero trust architecture.
- Excellent organizational, scheduling, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for varied audiences.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid models.
- Experience managing projects using Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite/SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of standard project management processes including budget/scope/schedule control, stakeholder communication, risk management, and readiness assessment.
- Experience working in or with a Crown corporation or in the public sector is mandatory.
- Experience in the gambling industry is an asset.
Services & Deliverables:
- Deliver standard project management activities including detailed project planning, change management, timeline development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure resource assignment and task delegation across agile delivery teams.
- Lead governance compliance, risk mitigation, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting throughout the project.
