We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact digital health initiatives. This role supports ICT-enabled healthcare transformation projects, working with diverse stakeholders across clinical, technical, and operational teams. The ideal candidate has deep experience in healthcare IT project delivery, change management, and workforce management systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project delivery for complex healthcare IT initiatives.
Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and risk assessments aligned with organizational goals.
Monitor performance against established tolerances, ensuring project outcomes are delivered on time and within scope.
Provide executive-level reporting to steering committees and key stakeholders.
Serve as project director as needed, overseeing project managers and providing coaching and performance feedback.
Manage Agile and traditional project lifecycles, ensuring team alignment with delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
Execute change management strategies using structured methodologies (e.g., PROSCI), including readiness assessments and stakeholder engagement plans.
Develop multi-site business cases that assess costs, forecast savings, and provide implementation recommendations.
Lead implementation of workforce management and staff scheduling systems, including standardization of HR/payroll/scheduling reports.
Oversee deployment of patient safety and incident reporting solutions in clinical settings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, clinical staff, vendors, and senior leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience managing software development projects in healthcare, including projects delivered using Agile methodologies.
Experience delivering organizational change management using structured methodologies such as PROSCI.
Experience developing business cases with input from multiple sites, including cost/savings assessments and strategic recommendations.
Experience implementing Staff Scheduling/Workforce Management systems, including standardizing HR, payroll, and scheduling reports.
Experience delivering patient safety and critical incident reporting solutions in healthcare environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, Business, or related field (required)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
PROSCI Change Management Certification
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
Familiarity with provincial health system structures and digital transformation efforts
Exposure to cybersecurity and privacy compliance in healthcare
Experience with digital front-door and virtual care platforms
