We are working with a Federal Government client seeking a Bilingual Help Desk Specialist to join them onsite in Ottawa for a contract until March 31, 2026!
Roles and Responsibilities
- Respond to calls received and the centralized email ticket inbox
- Respond to client issues logging the tickets into ServiceNow following documented processes and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Manage tickets through to resolution in a timely manner.
- Configure, monitor and support a variety of IT hardware devices and components including but not limited to desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, smartphones, integrated presentation and collaboration computers and encrypted devices.
- Support android and Apple smartphone users on usage questions and issues
- Support the computing hardware lifecycle management program by configuring desktops, laptops and tablets for client deployment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bilingual in French & English.
- Hold a valid Secret Security Clearance.
- One (1) year of experience in the last three (3) years working in a Help Desk or Desktop Support environment.
- Six (6) months of experience in the last three (3) years troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
- Six (6) months of experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 or Microsoft Windows 11 both remotely and desk-side.
- Six (6) months of experience supporting Microsoft Office 2016 or Microsoft Office 365 both remotely and desk-side.
- Six (6) months of experience using Microsoft Active Directory to manage users, computers, and groups on an enterprise network.
- Six (6) months of experience using Microsoft Exchange 2016 Management Console or Exchange Online (EXO) in creating and managing email accounts on an enterprise network.
