Job Description
Our client in Kitchener is seeking meticulous and organized Filing Clerks to join their team for a short-term, full-time and part time contracts. This role is essential in ensuring their physical filing system is maintained, updated, and organized efficiently.
Location: Onsite in Kitchener
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week) and Part-time (24 hours/week)
Duration: 6-8 Weeks Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain physical files and records systematically.
- Sort, classify, and file documents according to established guidelines.
- Retrieve and provide documents upon request from authorized personnel.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of filed records.
- Prepare files for archiving and assist with records management tasks.
- Regularly check files for proper placement and adherence to filing protocols.
- Perform routine clerical duties such as scanning, copying, and mailing documents.
- Assist in creating an inventory of files and ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Follow confidentiality and data protection policies rigorously.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding filing needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably with a focus on filing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving files.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
- Compliance with applicable vaccination policies (proof of vaccination required).
- Successful completion of a criminal background check (please note - candidates are responsible for the cost).
