Job Description

Our client in the healthcare sector is seeking a Senior Epic Programmer Analyst to support their Systems Integration team. The successful candidate will play a key role in onboarding new partners into the Epic Health Information System (HIS) and assisting with data conversions from legacy systems. This is a dynamic role suited for a proactive, experienced professional who can operate independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating closely with a team of experts to support critical healthcare integration projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance integration between Epic and external systems using integration engines (preferably Rhapsody or Mirth).

  • Participate in onboarding new healthcare partners into the Epic system.

  • Assist in data conversion efforts from legacy systems into Epic.

  • Develop and maintain HL7, JSON, and XML interfaces for seamless data exchange.

  • Collaborate with the Systems Integration team and internal/external stakeholders to implement integration solutions.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot interface issues to ensure system integrity and performance.

  • Report and communicate progress to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare data standards and privacy regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with integration engines such as Rhapsody or Mirth.

  • Strong knowledge of system messaging standards including HL7, JSON, and XML.

  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence.

  • Excellent client service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating system environments.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

Epic Bridges Certification

Nice-to-Haves

  • Bilingual in English and French.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment.

  • Familiarity with project management principles and processes.

  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
