Job Title: Operations Manager (LTL & Cross-Dock Experience Required)

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of LTL operations, and proven cross-dock experience. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence through data and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of LTL freight and cross-docking activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely deliveries.

• Develop, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor productivity, safety, and quality standards.

• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, dock workers, and drivers to meet or exceed performance metrics.

• Ensure optimal utilization of labor, equipment, and dock space for efficient flow of freight.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, increase throughput, and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.

• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and training programs to ensure an agile and skilled workforce.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation, with at least 3 years in an operations management role.

• Proven experience in LTL operations and cross-dock facility management is required.

• Strong analytical skills and experience with KPI tracking and reporting tools.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and make data-driven decisions quickly.

• Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
