Job Description

On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for a Test Analyst for a 6-month contract, with possible extension. This is a hybrid position, working onsite in downtown Toronto days per week, with the potential to move to 1 day per week. 

Project Context:
The selected Test Analyst will play a key role in supporting quality assurance efforts across projects, with involvement in project management tasks within Jira, while contributing to development activities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Execute quality assurance testing processes for various projects
• Manage and track project activities and deliverables in Jira
• Collaborate with development and project teams to ensure test coverage and defect resolution
• Leverage experience with Databricks, SQL, OneStream, C#, and VB.NET for testing support and light development work
• Assist in writing and executing test scripts and scenarios

Must-Have Skills or Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of experience as a QA Analyst
• Project experience and ability to manage tasks within Jira
• Familiarity with Databricks, SQL, OneStream, and coding experience in C# and/or VB.NET
• Some experiences with coding
• - Experience with using Jira to manage agile and hybrid projects
• - Experience with setting up Jira for projects and administering Jira throughout project lifecycle
• - Experience with overseeing test cycles within agile projects, review and document test scripts, conduct testing in different capacity (Unit, SIT, UAT)
• - Experience with coordinating and leading test cycle execution with business stakeholders
• - Experience working with C#
• - Experience with VBA scripting languages and SQL
• - Experience with working in Enterprise Performance Management solutions, including Hyperion and/or OneStream
• - Understanding of project management and project lifecycles
• - Understanding of financial planning, financial close and analysis concepts
• - Proactivity, independently addressing challenges, and adapting efficiently to changing circumstances
• - Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork

Nice-to-Have:

• Development background or experience writing and debugging code
• Experience in public sector or transit projects
