Job Description

We are seeking multiple experienced Project Managers to join our Broader Public Sector client to lead the delivery of State-of-Good-Repair (SOGR) projects within transit infrastructure. This role focuses on managing projects from design through to construction and commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

This will be a 6-month contract running from April to October 2025. This role will follow a hybrid model with some on-site work in downtown Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage all phases of assigned projects, including design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Project Administration: Oversee day-to-day project administration, including documentation, tracking, risk assessments, and site inspections.
  • Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, review work plans, and implement safety improvements as needed.
  • Contract Management: Manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Schedule and Budget Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensure projects are completed within budget, and manage scope changes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including progress meetings and updates.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Customer Experience: Minimize disruptions and maintain a positive customer experience during construction.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to all applicable regulations, codes, and standards.

 

Key Requirements:

  • College diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Technology, Building Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of project management experience in transit, public facing, or maintenance facilities.
  • Strong understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering principles, building science, and architecture.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
