Job Description
Our client working in the Non-Profit industry is hiring for a Procurement Specialist to join them on a contract basis until March 31st, 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity working in a hybrid model, 2 days onsite per week. The successful candidate can live in either Ottawa or Toronto.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will focus on service-level procurement, including service agreements, consulting tenders, and software maintenance agreements. You will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement operations while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review Statements of Work (SOW), Service Agreements, and Master Services Agreements (MSA).
- Manage the procurement tendering process, including IT software and consulting contracts, e-tendering, and vendor engagement.
- Review and negotiate End User License Agreements (EULAs), IT procurement contracts, and software maintenance agreements.
- Oversee purchase orders, contract amendments, and procurement agreements.
- Provide guidance on procurement best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Work with Finance, Legal, IT, and other departments to resolve procurement-related issues.
What You Bring
- Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in IT contract drafting, software procurement, or IT consulting agreements.
- Strong contract drafting and review skills, particularly with MSAs, service agreements, and procurement agreements.
- Knowledge of Canadian tendering laws and public procurement practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; e-tendering tools like Bonfire are an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
