Our client, a leading company located in Maxville, ON, is seeking a Credit Specialist to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you'll be responsible for a diverse portfolio of credit card and commercial accounts, focusing on credit evaluation, risk assessment, and collections. The role is fully onsite for the first 3-months. After 3-months, you'll transition to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite).
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze credit applications and recommend credit limits and terms.
Enforce company credit policies and manage delinquent accounts.
Maintain customer credit files and process credits/adjustments.
Monitor overdue accounts, negotiate payment plans, and coordinate escalations with agencies or legal partners.
Conduct regular reviews to assess and mitigate credit risks.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
2-3 years of customer service/collections experience in a high-volume environment.
Bilingual in English and French a plus.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Strong customer service, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
