Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join their Finance team! This role involves managing credit applications, monitoring customer payments, and ensuring timely collections. The role is a 3-month contract-to-hire and is hybrid in North York.

Responsibilities:

• Review credit applications and set up customer accounts.
• Monitor and post payments accurately.
• Prepare and analyze collection forecasts.
• Manage overdue accounts and meet collection targets.
• Ensure tax compliance and adjust credit limits as needed.
• Implement effective collection strategies and resolve disputes.
• Reconcile accounts and provide audit support.
• Collaborate with teams and provide backup support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Aurora/AS400 experience is a plus) and Excel.
• Strong reconciliation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
