Job Description
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Registrar Manager to join their team full-time onsite. Under the supervision of the Associate Vice Rector, Academic Enrollment Management, The Bilingual Registrar Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of course scheduling, registration, student academic progress, grading, transcripts, and maintenance of official records for all students. The position also supports convocation activities and collaborates with academic units and external institutions. The Registrar Manager ensures the smooth functioning of operations and participates in the implementation of new systems and tools.
Our client offer's a 4-day workweek with a 35-hour work week in total. The goal is to provide you with the option to have a 4-day workweek, giving you the flexibility to enjoy a longer weekend while still maintaining a balanced schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the registration, grading, graduation, transcripts, and certification processes. Ensure the continuous improvement and accuracy of the registration system and student data.
- Liaise with the University and other institutions on academic matters, implement effective communication methods, and manage data transmission.
- Plan and oversee course schedule production, ensuring faculties follow procedures for an integrated timetable. Manage classroom assignments and optimize space usage.
- Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Coordinate leave requests and provide ongoing support and feedback to the team.
- Ensure accurate student records and oversee graduation processes, including deadlines, forms, and fees.
- Assist in convocation planning.
- Manage course ratings and ensure data accuracy for government reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and over five years of experience in a related role.
- Experience in managing complex systems, ideally in a university setting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong bilingual communication skills in both English and French.
- Knowledge of the academic information systems or PeopleSoft is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
