In this seat, you are a part of our corporate leadership team, and will collaborate with multiple departments, across all levels of seniority. Be it vision setting, client expansion, recruitment strategy, people development, team engagement or culture building – these are all exciting components of working in this seat. 

Your main responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: 

Market Expansion and Strategy Development 

  • Executing and contributing to comprehensive business strategies to establish a strong presence in Calgary and Edmonton, targeting key private sectors such as Financial Services, Retail, and others 
  • Conducting market analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and potential clients 
  • Implementing cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality service delivery 

 New Business Development & Client Relationship Building 

  • Leading the charge in acquiring new business by identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships and opportunities 
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers in target industries to secure new contracts 
  • Holding regular sales calls and sales meetings (in person and virtual) to qualify new prospects and engage existing client base 
  • Acting as the primary liaison between the organization and clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and understanding client needs 
  • Fostering long-term partnerships by consistently delivering exceptional service and providing innovative staffing solutions 
  • Building and maintaining current and thorough organizational charts 
  • Showcasing our value and expertise by marketing top talent to clients 
  • Job order generation 
  • Taking on existing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and ensuring contractual obligations are met or exceeded 
  • Negotiating and finalizing contracts with new clients, ensuring terms align with organizational goals and standards 
  • Cross-selling and introducing clients to relevant business lines using a consultative approach 
  • Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) presentations for top clients 
  • Expanding wallet share in existing portfolio 
  • Building LinkedIn network of existing client base and nurturing them with relevant thought leadership posts 
  • Continuous researching and planning on client/prospect accounts 

 Service Delivery 

  • Candidate and client escalations (service issues, Health & Safety, Human Rights) 
  • Upholding our Job Order Process (QC calls, debriefs, interview prep, etc.) 
  • Setting search strategies with Recruitment Partners 
  • Developing comprehensive candidate presentations for clients 
  • Candidate validation and onboarding (references, background checks, contracts) 
  • Maintaining Service Standards and a consultative delivery approach 

 Team Building & Leadership 

  • Initially operating in a hands-on capacity, taking responsibility for all aspects of business development and client management 
  • Training and leading a team of staffing professionals as the business expands, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration 

 Team Culture Leadership 

  • Shaping and promoting a positive and collaborative company culture that reflects the values of the organization 
  • Acting as a culture driver, fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among team members 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of direct sales and business development experience within staffing
  • Current or previous sales experience within the Alberta market
  • Passion for lead generation, prospecting, creating and fostering new relationships
  • Excitement for cold outreach and breaking into new markets
  • You are a driven professional who is self-motivated for achieving and exceeding individual and team goals
  • Focused on driving client/candidate success and delivering the ultimate client/candidate experience
  • Natural leader who loves providing mentorship and coaching to team members while supporting team growth
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment, meeting tight deadlines
  • Natural curiosity about people, their backgrounds and experience
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Technical aptitude in the use of business software
