Altis is thrilled to partner with a well-known public sector organization on the recruitment of experienced (post-award) Contract Specialists for a 1-year contract with potential extension.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days a week on site in North York (400 & Sheppard area).
Candidates MUST have PUBLIC SECTOR procurement and contract management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage corporate-wide contracts for goods and services.
- Handle pre-award (specifications, procurement) and post-award (vendor performance, contract administration) activities.
- Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and manage contract amendments.
- Analyze expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on spending trends.
- Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing.
- Coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements:
- Strong contract administration experience in a public procurement environment.
- Knowledge of contract law and commercial document preparation.
- Experience with budget management and expenditure analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Ontario G License.
- Post-Secondary Education in Business.
Assets:
- Procurement certifications.
- Experience with SAP Procurement Modules.
