Altis is thrilled to partner with a well-known public sector organization on the recruitment of experienced Senior Procurement Specialists for a
1-year contract with potential extension.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days a week on site in North York (400 & Sheppard area).
Candidates MUST have PUBLIC SECTOR procurement and complex, high-value procurement project experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex procurement categories, focusing on corporate and professional services.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies.
- Lead vendor negotiations and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and vendor performance.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from tender preparation to contract award.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in public sector procurement.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract law, and tendering processes.
- Proficiency in competitive procurement vehicles (ACANs, RFIs, RFBs, RFPs, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and materials management systems.
- Valid Ontario G license and personal vehicle.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code.
