Job Title: Payroll Analyst (with Accounting Duties)

Job Summary:

Our client, a well-established engineering firm in North York, is seeking a Payroll Analyst with accounting experience for an 11-week onsite contract. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations.

• Maintain payroll records, process adjustments, and handle payroll-related inquiries.

• Assist with month-end payroll reconciliations and journal entries.

• Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation.

• Collaborate with the accounting team on payroll-related accounting functions.

• Assist with remittances, benefits administration, and year-end payroll processes.

• Support audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and accounting.

• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices in Canada.

• Experience with payroll software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work onsite in North York for the duration of the contract.
