Our federal government client is requesting EX Classification & Org Design consultant to facilitate a horizontal review of all positions within its executive cadre across the organization.
Tasks:
Working with Organizational Design and Classification to confirm organizational structures and numbers of EX positions;
Consulting Branch senior management and Organizational Design and Classification to confirm the responsibilities assigned to each EX position; and establish a schedule for the review of all EX positions for each Branch within the organization;
Undertaking an in-depth review of existing EX positions to determine anomalies and areas of concern and prepare a status report;
Developing draft job descriptions/job profiles for the EX positions;
Consulting Branch senior management to refine content and finalize job descriptions/job profiles for their EX positions;
Participating to job evaluation to formalize the classification of all EX positions;
Preparing briegfings /presentations to managers and executive teams regarding impacts of organizational design, client service delivery models and associated risks;
Developing a final report illustrating the findings of the review
Experience and Qualifications:
University Degree
5+ years of experience working on Classification and Organizational Design projects for a number of Federal government departments, agencies, or Crown Corporation
5+ years of experience responsible for providing Executive group (EX) classification and organizational design advice in the context of an organizational-wide review exercise or a classification reform initiative
5+ years of experience working on initiatives with Federal Public Service organizations where the proposed resource was responsible for providing organizational design proposals to streamline operations and/or implement new program areas and mandates
