Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 1 day/week onsite)
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Type: Contract (Until June 2025, with potential for extension)
Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking an Account Transfers Representative to join their team in Toronto. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative environment while supporting a diverse customer portfolio.
In this role, you’ll manage asset transfers, review and validate documentation, and coordinate with financial institutions to ensure seamless processing while keeping clients informed. You will also investigate transfer rejections, communicate any issues to clients for resolution, and reconcile daily Account Transfer controls.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding service to investment advisors, brokerage firms, investors, and internal support teams.
- Process account transfers, including all relevant documentation, and handle related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Address questions about investment strategies, products, and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client requests efficiently and effectively.
- Reconcile account transfer control accounts daily and escalate discrepancies as needed.
- Represent the company with professionalism, ensuring clear and precise communication.
- Perform additional related duties, as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or a similar role.
- A strong understanding of financial products, including mutual funds, registered accounts, and securities, including different account types (Registered/Non-Registered)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Assets:- Knowledge of and/or experience in the brokerage industry.
- Enrollment in or completion of a financial services certification (e.g., CSC/Canadian Securities Course).
- Familiarity with industry systems such as ATON, Dataphile, Fundserv, CDS, Arrow, and DTCC.
