Altis Recruitment is currently looking for strategic and results-focused Account Manager/Account Executives who are Toronto OR Ottawa-based, to play a key role in growing our Finance & Accounting staffing division. This is a fantastic opportunity for an absolute sales driver with recent experience in Finance & Accounting staffing, and someone seeking further growth. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sales/business development, and building, developing and nurturing new and existing partnerships and client relationships.

This role will rely on your instincts to understand our clients’ roles and requirements, and our candidates’ career objectives, qualifications and skills. It will call on your superb customer service skills to bring all parties together and to treat others with respect and care. This position requires business development skills on the phone, in person, and in written presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively engaging with clients and responsible for expanding our presence in the finance & accounting marketplace
  • Identifying new markets and business opportunities to pursue
  • Retaining clients by providing superior customer service and staffing support
  • Ensuring we don’t miss opportunities for new business with existing accounts
  • Listening and drawing out the concerns and problems of clients to identify staffing solutions
  • Mushrooming existing users to generate new business and grow sales
  • Cross selling to identify opportunities for other divisions
  • Marketing candidate resources based on client needs
  • Resolving any issues that come up throughout the placement process
  • Negotiating and closing deals; handling complaints or objections
  • Conducting after placement service calls with both candidates and clients
  • Attending in-person and virtual meetings with top users and prospects
  • Participating in networking events and conferences on behalf of the company
  • Preparing and reporting on goals, sales, and prospects
  • Adhering to our high level of service standards and delivery

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of direct experience within staffing, business development and/or account management 
  • Experience supporting a finance & accounting business stream preferred
  • Passion for creating and fostering new relationships
  • Comfortable with cold outreach
  • You are a driven professional who is self-motivated for achieving and exceeding individual and team goals
  • Focused on driving client/candidate success and delivering the ultimate client/candidate experience
  • Natural leader who loves providing mentorship and coaching to team members and supporting team growth
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines
  • Natural curiosity about people, their backgrounds and experience
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Technical aptitude in the use of business software
