Job Description
Our leading healthcare client is looking for a Director of Technology to join their team on a permanent basis. This role reports to the VP of Business Transformation and will focus on a major healthcare transformation for the pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap. This will be a hybrid role reporting to the Toronto office.
This position will have 5 direct reports and will be responsible for articulating a strategic vision for the Pan-Conformance Program, aligning it with the objectives outlined in the pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap, and overseeing its formal design, development, and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a Conformance Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design of the pan-Canadian conformance program, focusing on assessing and validating compliance with pan-Canadian interoperability specifications.
- Lead teams in establishing an integrated conformance platform for the program, including overseeing implementation, managing internal resources, and directing external contractors/professional services.
- Engage and manage executive stakeholders, both internal and external, and develop external communications and marketing strategies for the service.
- Operate integrated conformance business processes, ensuring customer-focused excellence and collaboration, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Organize and deliver events and programs to promote international health standards and pan-Canadian eminence in conformance capabilities.

Working knowledge of Health IT standards and software development, with extensive experience in Health IT Standards (e.g., HL7, IHE, SNOMED, LOINC, etc.).

Experience with Connectathon events, particularly on the IHE Gazelle platform, is a definite asset.
- Hands on QA experience with system integrations (e.g., APIs), documentation and sandbox environments and implementation guides
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Architect.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience building Health IT Standards-based software solutions.
- Minimum 7-10 years of management experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience with industry events, organizing, and participating is a definite asset.
