Job Title: Test Lead

Duration:

• Primary engagement: 2 years
• Optional extension: 6 months

Location:

• Hybrid (Preference for on-site at Head Office in Regina)

Overview: Join our Business Transformation Project (BTP) team, a 5 to 7-year initiative aimed at enhancing worker outcomes across various business areas. As a Test Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in testing new cloud application functionalities, integrations, conversions, and reports to ensure the project's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Development: Create test cases, scripts, and execute testing to meet project deadlines.
• Test Execution Oversight: Monitor and manage daily test activities, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules.
• Defect Management: Implement a robust defect tracking and resolution process.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure testing meets the highest quality standards and maintain quality metrics.
• Team Coordination: Lead and mentor a diverse testing team, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Issue Escalation: Act as the primary contact for test-related issues, escalating as needed for swift resolution.
• Defect Triage: Organize and chair defect triage meetings to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates on test progress, defects, and risks to stakeholders.
• Test Cycle Coordination: Manage test execution cycles, including kick-offs, daily scrum calls, and phase closures.
• Tool Management: Oversee defect management tools, ensuring effective utilization and synchronization with project activities.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 10 years in test plan development and execution for large IT projects; 7 years as a Test Lead.
• Skills: Proficiency in test planning, software development life cycles, testing techniques, and test automation.
• Project Experience: Agile and hybrid project environments.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical Skills: Experience with SQL; SaaS cloud solutions implementation is a plus.

Availability:

• Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.
