Job Description

On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for a Full stack Programmer/Developer for a one-year contract, with possible extension to enhance an existing internally built application known as Metro Asset Tool (MAT). MAT works in tandem with another application, Asset Upload Tool (AUT), which facilitates the upload and update of equipment and assets in EAM.  

This is a hybrid position, working in Burnaby, BC, or entirely remotely within Canada. BC candidates preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Upgrade the existing application from .Net Core 3.1 to .Net 8 and integrate Vue into the development.

- Develop, test, and implement future phases of MAT.

- Analyze requirements and create supporting documentation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise.

- Write SQL queries and manage database views.

- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to User Stories within Azure DevOps.

- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Database Administrators, and Business Users.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development using C# .NET.

- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.

- Required experience with Vue for front-end development.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 or later.

- Experience with HxGN EAM SOAP Web Service or REST API is preferred.

- Knowledge of Git for version control.

- Understanding of asset management, asset registry, and associated business processes is beneficial.

- Knowledge of software development methodologies and project management principles.
