About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team on a three-year contract basis. This role involves providing critical business systems analysis for large-scale IT-enabled projects, particularly in the area of payments modernization. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Manager Business Analysis Payments Modernization and collaborate closely with the scrum team to drive product development through agile methodologies.

Contract Term: 3 years
Location: Ottawa - Hybrid Environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical and functional requirements analysis to support product development.
• Develop and validate solutions to complex business problems, improving banking and payment processes and capabilities.
• Facilitate refinement sessions to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements by the development team.
• Assist in the creation of technical specifications, system and business process documentation, and functional and technical specifications.
• Analyze financial messaging standards to incorporate new features and functionality.
• Plan and execute test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing, and participate in the Business Analysis Community of Practice to share experiences and insights.
• Perform other related activities and deliverables as required.

Requirements:

• University degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, computer science, or a related field.
• At least seven (7) years of experience in the development of business requirements, delivery of business systems analysis processes, systems design, and technology.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with agile software development methodology in a business analyst capacity.
• Proficiency in English; French language skills are a plus.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per health and safety policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of high-available banking and payments systems.
• Professional designations such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification in Business Analysis (CCBA).
