Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist

Location: Hybrid in Edmonton AB, Alberta, T6G 2R3

Position Type: Contract until March 2025

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist who will be responsible for delivering the entire BI strategy for our client in education industry

Responsibilities:
- Developing and Managing BI Solutions: The BI Analyst will create business intelligence solutions that help the university in data analysis and reporting.
- Data Analysis: the BI Analyst will gather and analyze data from various sources, to identify trends and patterns that can be solutioned on.
- Reporting: you will be responsible for providing reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help communicate findings to university leaders and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: you will work closely with different departments to improve reporting needs and objectives.
- Process Improvement: the BI Analyst will help design and define business processes and recommend improvements to management and executives.
- Documentation: You will create and maintain documentation, including design, requirements, and user manuals as needed.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years experience with cloud data
• Expert level BI tool experience using Tableau for building report certification
• Previous experience in report certifications
• Experience with dashboard development, automation of processes.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Collaborate with multiple users to evaluate requirement, performance and areas of improvement
• Work with multiple stakeholders to design, develop, implement and communicate BI best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to other members
