Job Description

Our client, within the Automotive Manufacturing industry is seeking a Sales and Business Development Representative to join their team on a permanent basis. This role requires you to have access to a reliable vehicle as 90% of the role requires you to make client site visits. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of business development experience, strong communication, and a sales-driven mindset! 
- Please note, this role requires you to cover the Guelph to Niagara region. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Achieves effective and profitable sales by ensuring territory sales and scrap forecasts are met, offering insights on quarterly sales forecasts and assessing competitive landscape.
  • Manages and develops sales territory to meet market share expectations, focusing on:
    • Expanding business with existing customers through personal selling and upselling.
    • Prospecting and acquiring new business in assigned territory, including direct sales and through distributors.
    • Identifying cross-selling opportunities and promoting all product lines.
  • Provides price quotes, negotiates credit terms, and prepares sales contracts.
  • Builds trust with current, new, and potential customers by understanding their business needs and recommending products accordingly, emphasizing quality and warranty benefits.
  • Communicates sales and advertising programs to existing customers and meets call frequency expectations set by the National Accounts team.
  • Utilizes Salesforce and internal tools to manage territory, analyzing sales data to suggest methods for improving sales.
  • Manages sales channels and promptly escalates potential conflicts to Regional Sales Manager/Head Office, supports inventory counts, and participates in trade shows as necessary.

  • Capable of identifying procedural deficiencies and formulating effective remedies.
  • Displays excellent written and oral communication proficiencies.
  • Exhibits proven abilities in facilitation and delivering compelling presentations.
