Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant with a background in Human Resources to support the team. This role is a 6 month contract with strong potential for permanency and growth in the team.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a background in HR, and a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. 

The role requires you to be on site 2 days per week in Newmarket and once per week in Richmond Hill.

Responsibilities:

  • Support employee appreciation events and celebrations
  • Track staff training records and ensure compliance
  • Calendar management for Learning and Development (L&D) meetings
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating events
  • Support student placement programs
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Previous experience with Human Resources
  • Must have experience with calendar management
  • Experience with Learning & Development or Employee Wellness
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent judgment and ability to pivot as needed
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of tasks
