We are currently seeking a Finance Manager for an exciting full-time, permanent role within our financial team.

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the financial operations of our organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll teams, ensuring efficient and accurate financial processes. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and maintaining financial controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and you will play a key role in reviewing and ensuring accurate financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Additionally, spearhead the development and maintenance of new review processes and checks and balances to enhance the effectiveness of financial controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive continuous improvement in financial operations
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting matters, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and practices. Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
  • Manage tax compliance and collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize the organization's tax position while ensuring adherence to tax regulations
  • Actively participate in various ad-hoc projects; work with and organize direct reports to accomplish strategic goals
  • Optimize operational and finance systems, identify opportunities to streamline processes. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal liquidity for daily operations

Qualifications & Experience
  • CPA Designation
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in financial operations; experience managing a payroll function is an asset
  • Proven experience in a managerial finance role
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines
  • Ability to provide proactive strategic guidance to individuals at all levels, including solutions to existing issues, and insight into overcoming hurdles to achieve results
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, while effectively articulating ideas, concepts, and proposals to team, peers, and senior leadership
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
