Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for an exciting full-time, permanent role within our financial team.

As a Senior Accountant, you will take a leadership role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, playing a crucial part in the month-end close process and fostering a spirit of continuous improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities to collaborate across departments and drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a leadership role in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review financial working papers, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Conduct thorough analysis of company expenses to ensure accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Stay abreast of industry accounting standards and regulations
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Collaborate with the finance team to enhance and maintain effective internal controls
  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Undertake special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives within established timelines
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics against budgets, forecasts, and targets
  • Provide financial insights and decision support to business units by interpreting financial data, conducting ad-hoc analysis, and evaluating the financial implications of strategic initiatives, investments, and operational changes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
  • Other duties or tasks assigned by the finance department

Qualifications & Experience
  • CPA Designation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Prior experience in public accounting is strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
