Job Description

We are excited to annouce that we are partnering with is a leader in the safe, environmentally responsible management of nuclear waste. We are looking for an Environmental Analyst/Associate to join the team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about environmental protection, possess a strong background in environmental science, and have the ability to analyze and interpret environmental data. 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with contract management, including overseeing deliverables from field contractors.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contractor deliverables, such as workplans, field reports, data sets, and summary reports.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental design requirements, approved workplans, and field schedules.
  • Validate the completeness and accuracy of data sets in accordance with workplan scopes and verify laboratory analytical data against workplans and custody chains.
  • Collaborate with the data management group for effective data management, control, and tabulation of environmental data across all media.
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control checks on analytical data to ensure adherence to established thresholds and limits.
  • Assure the quality of field investigation data, GIS data, and products supplied by external sources, ensuring they meet quality assurance protocols.
  • Coordinate with analytical laboratories to secure timely delivery of analytical data, ensuring it complies with data delivery templates.
  • Manage contract-related documentation in accordance with project management office protocols.
  • Support change management and contract amendments as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Environmental Technician Diploma, B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, or a related field, or Environmental Engineer EIT certification.
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing environmental sampling and studies (e.g., surface water, soil analysis, habitat mapping).
  • Skilled in data management and analytical data set review.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the capability to apply theoretical and practical knowledge to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to systematically review extensive data sets and reports.
