Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of a Writing Services Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing writing services on an as-needed basis through their expertise and consultation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on various subject matters related to content writing, copywriting, and background research.
  • Write, edit, and refine content for a diverse range of communication materials including speeches, plans, news releases, reports, scripts, online content, advertising copy, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop communication products that meet the needs and objectives of the project.
  • Manage project timelines effectively, adapting to changing priorities and evolving directions as required.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Formal education in fields such as Journalism, English, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of demonstrable experience within the past ten years, providing writing services for senior organizational leaders and/or senior government officials.
  • Ability to provide a detailed project example, showcasing your involvement in project management, decision-making, engagement of partners, and use of innovative tools or approaches.
  • Experience in conducting background research, writing, editing, seeking approvals, making revisions, and obtaining final approval for communication products.
  • Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to navigate challenges such as managing timelines and evolving project directions.
  • Submission of two diverse samples of work, showcasing your proficiency in different communication formats such as speeches, news releases, website copywriting, etc.
  • Three references attesting to your experience and capabilities in providing similar writing services.
