Our client in the legal industry is looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to join their team in Ottawa! This is a full-time permanent role that is hybrid (1-2 days a week in office). The ideal candidate will be responsible for attending and marketing events aimed at engaging our community members, fostering connections with various law firms and journalists, and promoting the companies brand values.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the digital marketing team members and assisting with marketing activates as needed
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, influencers, and local organizations to enhance collaboration and support for our initiatives
• Arrange content into a cohesive and compelling email message
• Generate leads and relationships from conferences and events
• Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our mission and build strategic partnerships
• Other duties as required 

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in event management, traditional marketing and community engagement
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong MS office skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for events and engagements
