We are recruiting for Corporate Accountant to join a reputable company in the real estate development industry, based primarily in Toronto with expanding operations in Ottawa. The company specializes in acquiring, developing, constructing, and operating various facilities, including real estate properties, among others. With a diverse portfolio and a growing corporate structure, we are seeking a dedicated Corporate Accountant to join their dynamic team on a long-term/permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the financial reporting process, including statutory and operational reporting.
• Assist in the consolidation and roll-up of financial statements for multiple entities across Ottawa and Toronto.
• Preparation of working papers for each entity and ensure accurate consolidation.
• Assist in enhancing and streamlining reporting processes to accommodate the company's rapid growth and increasing stakeholder interest.
• Handle a high volume of reports and financial data while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Support in analyzing property holdings totaling approximately $1.2 billion.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) with extensive experience in full-cycle working paper preparation.
• Proficiency in navigating complex corporate group entity structures and working with large private corporations.
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and consolidation processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Comfortable with a hands-on approach and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience in the real estate or related industries is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
