Altis Recruitment is seeking an Events Project Coordinator for our client, nonprofit, on a 6 Month contract. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of primary health care projects, with a focus on serving First Nation communities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provides senior-level advice and expertise in primary health care project management, education, and program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develops and fosters a learning environment enabling continuous improvements in service quality for Joint Project Board initiatives and primary care services, offering guidance and coaching to project team members.
- Acts as an ambassador to Primary Care circles/networks in the Northern Region, attending relevant sessions, contributing expertise in cultural humility and safety education, and providing necessary research/resources for Primary care development and administration in First Nation contexts.
- Develops detailed documentation, training, and tracking tools related to primary care project activities, ensuring effective communication and alignment among project stakeholders.
- Leads and fosters the development and implementation of Primary Care programs and services in urban and remote First Nation communities, ensuring cultural sensitivity and community engagement.
Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years of related experience, including previous leadership roles, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Recent, relevant, and significant experience in a health care environment with primary care planning, delivery, project management, strategic planning, and community/stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with First Nations communities or organizations, including political leadership.
Nice-to-Haves
- SAP Ariba experience is not mandatory but considered advantageous.
