Job Description

Our well-established client is actively seeking a Commercial Property Manager to join their collaborative team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity fully on-site in London, ON. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our client's leadership team to develop and implement innovative procedures that enhance service quality for tenants.

Roles & Responsibilities: 
  • Achieving financial objectives through rent collection, expense management, budget preparation, and variance analysis.
  • Maintaining property integrity by addressing tenant complaints, enforcing occupancy rules, inspecting vacant units, and coordinating repairs and renovations.
  • Managing on-site teams and overseeing building systems, including vendor sourcing and setup.
  • Ensuring property security by contracting security services, maintaining security devices, and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Enforcing occupancy policies and confronting violators.
  • Managing tenant receipts and outstanding rents.
  • Supporting organizational goals by proactively responding to requests, identifying opportunities to add value, and maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • Handling invoice coding and approval, collaborating with the head office accounting team.
  • Attracting tenants through effective advertising, referrals, and showcasing property features.
  • Negotiating leases with existing and prospective tenants.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of property management experience in large commercial buildings.
  • Leadership experience with a small team. Experience managing a unionized workplace is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in contract administration.
  • Collaborative management style and a passion for process improvement.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Extensive budget and reporting management experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of YARDI is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle sensitive matters with diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner, capable of working autonomously and making sound judgments.
